James Waldron

James Waldron is a writer and English teacher based in Rome.

His career prior to arriving in Italy was extremely varied. There were stints in France as a Foreign Legionnaire, Australia as a jackaroo, and Manhattan as a bagel salesman. Back home in London, he achieved some success as a small-scale fashion entrepreneur, producing the must-have garment for the girl-about-town of 1995 (using the young Sienna Miller

as a model). Finally deciding to take his career a little more seriously, James completed a full-time MBA at Cass Business School in 1999. He was then appointed marketing manager of a dot-com, but the internet bubble was soon to burst, and the company finally crashed in 2001.

months of business studies at Luiss university (connected withhis earlier MBA). He started writing soon after, and has had little direct contact with the world of business since, although when teaching, he specialises in Business English. James Waldron has been published by the Financial Times, Daily Mail and The Spectator, among other publications.
